The assistant
The assistant is the fastest way to operate Ozone. It lives in the floating ask bar at the bottom of every page — press ⌘K (or Ctrl K) anywhere to summon it — and conversations open in a panel alongside whatever you're looking at.
What it can do#
The assistant acts on the platform with your permissions — it can do what you can do, nothing more:
- Answer questions across your data. "Which high findings are still open in checkout?" "What did last night's scheduled run cost?"
- Start and manage work. Trigger reviews and analyses, cancel runs, and — for organization admins — create, change, delete, or fire schedules.
- Triage findings. Change statuses, add comments, and file a finding of your own.
- Maintain knowledge. Draft, update, and tag knowledge documents, and delete them.
- Configure projects and repositories — for organization admins. Rename a project, and change a repository's trigger mode, trigger rules, findings destination, and context settings. Ask it to stop reviewing a repository and it will.
- Explain your usage and billing.
It deliberately can't touch account-level surfaces: it doesn't manage members, mint API keys, or run billing checkout — those stay with you.
Asking about code#
The assistant itself doesn't read your repositories. When a question needs the actual code — "is this finding reachable from an unauthenticated route?" — it hands the work to the review agent, which re-clones the code in a sandbox and investigates. It won't wait around: it tells you the run has started and links to it, and you read the answer there a few minutes later. A fresh investigation reports as that run's own summary and findings; a follow-up about a run you already have threads into that original run's chat.
Context awareness#
The ask bar knows where you are. On a run page it carries a this run chip and your question opens with that run attached; on a project page, the conversation is focused on that project. Pop the chip off to ask about something else.
Chats#
Conversations are personal — yours, not shared with the org. Recent chats sit in the sidebar; the full history lives on the Chats page. Delete a chat any time.
Every assistant answer runs under a budget, capping its turns, time, and cost. Ozone bills that work like any other agent work, and it counts toward your month's total in usage — though the per-project and per-member breakdowns there cover runs only. Assistant turns don't touch your rolling review allowance.
